Last week you made your choice for president. Today, you must defend that choice. Use the skills that you learned to write your persuasive essay to persuade people to vote for your candidate.
Include:
- a hook
- a thesis (__________________ should be the next President of the United States)
- at least 2 pieces of evidence to support your thesis (What will this candidate do for the U.S.?)
- a rebuttal (Why is the other candidate a bad choice for America?)
- a concluding statement
You do not need to write 5 paragraphs, but your response should be detailed and organized. It might be a good idea to type it up in Microsoft Word first and then to copy and paste it into the comment box.

Propaganda is information that emphasizes only one side of a story. Political candidates use propaganda to try to persuade citizens to vote for them.
Find strong examples of propaganda from the websites of at least 3 of the presidential candidates. Use SPAM to analyze each piece of propaganda.
