Past NY State Social Studies Exam DBQs

No America did not live up to it’s ideals because the whites are still raciest to the blacks.
i agree with eric hu because sometimes in the street and park white people say bad things to the blacks and they sometimes have a fight.
i also agree with CiCheng and Eric Hu on the fighting on there races. but the question was that if the civil war moved us closer to the civil war. the key word is closer. we don’t have slavery anymore do we? so fights that have to do with race is still a problem but disabling slavery is a step closer to our ideal.
