I think the movie Fahrenheit 9/11 was good because i hate bush and i think most of you 8th graders do too. These information that michael moore is showing is good because it help’s us learn more about Bush and the Afganastan people. BOO BUSH I HATE HIM
Michael Moore’s perspecttive is right. Bush doesn’t do anything. Most of all the adults were foolish enough to vote for him. Because of Bush’s deception, he won. Of course if he never cheated, he would of never won. I mean if Bush really took vacations during his time of presidency, he’d be a bad president and he is. I mean, why why would he let terrorist into the U.S. If they already attacked the U.S, wouldn’t letting them be the worst idea ever? Michael Moore states that lower class people are always the first to submit to the army. They shouldn’t risk their lives unless that’s really needed. Bush is telling us that terrorist are attacking us. By making us scared, he can get us to do just about anything, he knows that many people rely on him because he is our leader. He’s manipulating us into labor. He knows what he’s doing. We’re pawns in his plan that will soon reveal itself.

I agree with with Michael Moore and Andrew and Robert because they are right. Bush doesn’t do nothing except go on vacation. But I don’t understand why he been voted twice. First time he cheated his way through. Second time he been voted again (does any voter knew what happen during 9/11 before they voted for Bush). I think Bush doesn’t even know how do what president do. During his vacation he had been notify about 9/11 but he ignored it and during 9/11 when the plane hit twin tower he read to the elemantary when he was notify. A president should protect United states not put United States in danger. Bush never should have become president and I think he doesn’t deserve to become one!!!!
I think the movie we saw about the 9-11 accident was good because a lot of details support the fact that Bush was a bad president. One example is that when the World trade center was attacked, Bush just sat down and didn’t do anything. Another example is that he took vacation and he didn’t do anything about the World trade center. Ask yourself these, Why didn’t Bush care for the U.S? H eonly seem to care for hinmself. Another fact he shouldn’t become president is that the first time he won a election was only by cheating and second time he was just voted again for no reason.

I think Bush is a bad president because of many reasons. Cause when 9/11 happen he was still in vacation in Florida sitting there reading a book to the children in a school. It’s like he doesn’t care about the people in 9/11. He should have at less did something? Not just sit there and wait for the actions to happen. While people out there are dieing and trying to save their lives from the world trade center. Also Bush shouldn’t have gone on vacation cause he have so many work that aren’t finish.

Bush is a really bad preident because he cars about the war and noting else because he went on vacation 42% of his time, anyways bush dont want to risk his life but he wasnt to risk lives on others.I think that the war oniraq is to get pople attention that bush can imperlisize BUT THATS NOT THE POINT. i agree with jj because when Bush heard of the news he didn’t know what to do. this shows that he isn’t fit to be the president because it takes him too long to make a decision. also, he took too much vacation time because during this time Bush could’ve found the culprit of 9/11 already. the Saudis gave Bush money is like jj said, a bribe. Bush wanted the Saudis safe and sound by letting them leave the U.S. which was wrong because they could have caused 9/11. HATE BUSH!!!
I think that Fahrenheit 9/11 put an interesting prespective on the 2000 and 2004 election. Maybe it did happen. Maybe Bush did cheat. Maybe the movie was made to make Bush look bad and nothing else. Not that I agree or disagree with Mr. Michael Moore’s and President Bush’s sets of information. It just makes things a bit more complicated.
I think that the video was correct because there was evidence. During the time of 9/11 Bush knew about the crash and that the country was in danger, he just sat there like he didn’t know what happened. Why did he do that? there was only one reason and that was that he didn’t care or that he was scared. Also he cheated to win the election of Al Gore and i don’t even know how how he got away with that. i couldn’t believe that the government let him get away with a thing such like that. i also wonder why people didn’t believe in the video. i mean like not all of it was true but there was evidence that he knew the 9/11 is going to happen, but he didn’t do anything. He just went on vacation and went fishing.
Well, in response to larry, you don’t really know what happened though. Not that i don’t think Bush is doing a bad job, but how do you know if Moore’s sources are true? Anyway, what can you do now? Bush is already president and his term’s going to end soon. So basically, it’s okay to say you don’t like him but its too late to stop him now with impeachment. One of the rules of presidency and part of the constitution(i think) are that no president can have a presidency lasting for more than 8 years. I’d like to see Bush try to by pass that.

Before becoming president, he served 6 years at the position of governor of Lone Star State. He recieved a bachelor’s degree in history at Yale University in 1968. Then, he served in the Air National Guard in TX. piloting an F-102. He recieved a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1975. After that, he went into the energy business. After his father’s election to president in 1988, he gathered a group of partners that bought the Rangers Baseball team. Then, in 1994, he was elected the Governor of Lone Star State. In 1998, he was the first Governor of the Lone Star State to win that election 4 consecutive times. In 2000, he ran for president and in 2004 he ran for reelection. According to the source, he won both times.
I think that in the video we saw, Michael Moore made it very clear that he didn’t like Bush and he also provided evidence of Bush’s mistakes. One of them were that he did not help at all during the 9/11 attacks. When he was first noticed that the first building of the World Trade Center collapsed, he was going to an elementary school. He did not turn back and head the other way back to New York city but instead he kept going. He was then noticed about the second tower a few minutes later when he was in the elementary school, he just kept sitting there. I think that it was reckless and carefree of him to just sit there while thousands – 3 thousand in fact, die.
I think the movie we saw about President Bush was good because it shows how President Bush was a bad person. For example, when he heard the twin tower fell down, he just sat in the chair and did nothing. Another example is he took a vacation and didn’t seem to do anything about the World Trade Center. He only won the election because he was cheating. A president should work hard and not to be lazy. The president should also protect their own country and should not care for themselves.
I think that Bush wasn’t suppose to be the president of the U.S. and is not a good president. Once Bush heard that terrorists attacked our nation, he didn’t care. He just continued spending his vacation with a smile on his face. A lot of people died in 9/11. Their relatives were very upset and they also think that bush is not a good president for the U.S. He became the president probably because he cheated. His brother and father is included to this but no one knows about it.
i agree with Jon K. Before i saw this movie which holds a lot of deatails i didn’t really care or know about the election with Bush and Goore. I didint think he would go as low as heating. Now i think that im more worried now than before. I didn’t know he was on vacation 42% on the time, i didn’t know that Bush was somehow related with the 9/11 attack, and i really didn’t believe that he didn’t do anything while we were in a 9/11 crisis. I somwhow believe that Moore might be right but then that may just becasue i never liked Bush in the first place. I personally think he is dirty guy. i ave a question: why was Bush sitting when someone told him that world trade ceter was attacked? There were warnings that someone is going to attack america, whywould bush ignore the warnings? It’s a shame that the congress let a law pass without reading what it is, anf i was really surprised that i found out the fact that congress passed most laws without reading them. president bush even stopped the independent comission from investigating the 9/11 attack, what was he trying to do? i think he wanted war!

I agree with Andrew and all the others about Bush is not a good president. When things happen like that, it’s just ridiculous going on vacation during that time. I think he should of headed back and see what happened instead of going on vacation.

I think that Bush isn’t a very good president. He wasn’t doing anything, but reading as the twin towers fell, he cheated off in the election, he was friends with the people bombing the twin towers, he actually let bin ladens have an investment in the company and now bin laden has been earning a great deal of money, he was even meeting with the bin ladens, and he let osama bin laden escape when they actually had a chance of arresting bin laden, but instead he delayed the assault on where bin laden was staying until 1 month after. That was absoulutely not right, all the people died from the bombing and Bush lets the murderer run away. Though i believe Bush not being able to do a good job in the beginning and later on until 9/11 was fine because not everyone can do a good job, but afterwards he should’ve acted against the bin ladens. The movie showed alot of reasons like these to the people and they were really reasonable.
I think that Bush and congressman dont strongly believe in the war in iraq.if they strongly believed in the war,they would there children shift out to iraq.i also think that bush doesnt care about other peoples children dien in iraq.

He doesn’t know how it feels losing someone in the army because he’s not related to them. If one of his child got enlisted int he army, the will know how it feels. I found Micheal Moore’s video very persuavsive because it got me to think that Bush is a donkey. He put alot of details that it could have persuaded anyone. He put details like example when he put the part when Bush said Sadam was innocent and doesn’t have anything to do with terroist but then later on he says its ALL Sadam
I agree with the others above me and i think that Michael Moore’s movie was persuasive because only one out of the 535 congressmen has a child enlisted in the army, and the child had died. Other congressmen wouldn’t want to give up their child and hear that they died while fighting for the country. I don’t know why Bush would be voted as president twice when he would cheat his way towards the final votes. Also if Bush doesn’t give his child up, doesn’t it also mean that he wouldn’t give them up like the other congressmen? Does that make him a good leader? I don’t think so…

If you ever ask me “Do you agree with Michael?”, “yes” is the answer I will say. He had found evidences and did a real interview with the woman who lost her dear child… You think he is cheating? NO! Bush is a bad president. I think he really did cheat in the election. I was talking to my friend’s dad yesterday and he said that Bush couldn’t cheat but then I told him that in the video, the election managing person guy was Bush’s first cousin so his cousin probably helped him cheat.
Bush doesn’t deserve to be president and I think that he should have lost. Al Gore probably would have been a better president. Bush didnt do anything about 9/11 when he was warned. When he was warned about the second plane, he still only sat there in the school.
I think that the fact that some people “trusted” Bush was he was a good talker. Even though alot of people don’t like him, including me, I have to admit and he is, somewhat, good at making speeches (persuading people and junk).
I think Michael Moor’s video was really persuadsive because it showed that Iraq had no relationship with 9/11. And I am starting to agree with him. It made me hate bush more. And heres a question for Bush how about you send your children to IRaq. this video had made me think Bush is a selfish person who don’t even care about us. risking people lives to prtect his. I thought that Michael Moore had a very persuasive point especially at the state we are at now when President Bush’s approval ratings are lower than normal. Mr. Moore brought to light a variety of facts that are contreversal to the current administration. However, like I said in my former posts, you cannot comfirm where Mr. Moore got his information. Therefore, you can’t tell if it’s true.

I would think that Moore had a lot of details, backup, support. I think he must have searched a lot to find all this information, but is it all true? i’m persuaded by him. I think that Michael Moore was very persuasive because he had facts to prove his things wrong. What persuated me was when he showed us how he went to the white house and ask congressman if they would consider sending their child to war because out of 535 congressmen only 1 of their child were in the war. What I saw was that when Michael Moore asked the people, most congressman ignored him.
Micheal Moore’s video was very persuavsive because it explained to me why the war is going on. he put real facts that we dont get to see on the news and he showed how bush has no idea about what hes doing. this has video has made me put more attention to the election this year. we all need to make sure that we dont make the same mistake we made 4 years ago and elect a president who only goes on vacation.
Michael Moore persuasive is that Bush fooled America once. He cheated on the vote to be the president. He made the american believe that there was a threat when there wasn’t even one threat. He read to a Florida Elementary school when 9/11 happen and even when he was notify he stayed to read to the kids. When he went to vacation there was a document that notify him that Sadam will hjack a plane to crash the United States and he didn’t read it he was too busy fishing. He cut the amount of number of FBI so America wouldn’t be that safe. Border of Oregon has only one person watching the coast of oregon the pacific ocean and is a part time job. There is only 8 troops of police in oregon and some of these police doesn’t even know how to deal with terriost threat. In police office its mostly close no one inside so in case of emergency use the pay phoone which is next to the police office. But the pay phone is broken. Bush is like putting America in danger. Now if he want to fool us we won’t be that easy to be fooled.

Micheal Moore has proved to me and a lot of other people, that George Bush is really bad for president. He takes vacations too daily and he doesn’t even know what he’s saying or doing. Many people have fallen into a trap and I think that if Al Gore won, we wouldn’t have had anything to fight about with Saddam or Osama. Bush is too racist and he hurts places like Baghdad who didn’t do anything. I think that he only bombed them because of an assumption. I also can’t believe that when the Twin Towers were hit, he just sat there and kept reading the book to the little kids. If Al Gore was president, he would have went there and got more data and helped out a lot. President Bush doesn’t deserve to wear that army suit and he wasn’t even involved. He only made things worse and made them think that they had a reason why they were attacking, which there was, but it was at the wrong place. He hurt innocent people, and in return others got hurt from the army.
I don’t think all the information that’s told from Michael Moore’s perspective is true because he’s against Bush. So I think that some things he’s telling is from he’s persective, his point of view. From my point of view, I think that Bush is wrong because he made the wrong choice in whether attacking Iraq but I believe that he’s still being a good president. He still cares about people that died in the war. I think that Bush must be really tired if not, he won’t go on a vacation to relax. I think that it’s not he don’t want to do anything about the attacking, it’s just that he can’t do anything to stop them from attacking.

Micheal Moore perspective is right and it is very persuasive. There are many parts in the movie that really showed that Bush was wrong and 99 percent of the government would not like their child to be enlisted in the army. I don;t know why there are still people suporting Bush. Micheal Moore should persuade more people to go against Bush and i think he’s doing a good job now.

I think that Michael Moore’s perspective persuades many people because he showed a lot of examples about the Iraq War and how it started. He also told people about how he felt about George Bush using jokes. The message of the movie then shows during the end of the movie.

in the movie Micheal Moore’s film was very persuavsive becuase i think that he has a lot of evidence that proves that Bush is a dum preident. and i think the should have not been a preident and the should never get to vote aagain cause the made wars happen offen. also that someone told Bush that iraq is planning a attack to american but he didnt do nothing about it.
the movie fahrenheit 911 had caught my attention.it showed me how bush does his job.during the fall of the world trade center, bush was on vacation having fun.when bush found out about the hit on the world trade center,he went to visit this school in florida but he didnt know waht to tell the kids so he took a boat and started reading it to the students.then after like 10 minutes pass, he was still doing the same.this shows me that bush isnt doing his job. -.-’
i thing that moores point is right and ids very persuading because it tells us and shows us what is bad about bombing iraq and how many people died i learned alot during the film and how innocent iraq is.

I can’t believe Bush said “I didn’t spend much time on it” when people asked him for the results for Osama. And he forced people to war to protect their oil, he is trading other people’s lives for oil. That’s not right. He be going around taking other people’s family member to war, FORCING them to war. People depend on Bush for help and he’s taking it easy. Blahs. i don’t even know what to say. Bush shouldn’t be a president.. he’s not responsible enough for our country ( my opinion.) I agree with Eric because Bush killed many innocent people in a country that didn’t had anything to do with 9/11. I think that Bush should think twice before making a move that can cause destruction.
i think that bush is a really bad president, because he was just always going on vacation and sitting there. i think that the movie was good because it showed everyone what kind of person bush was. i never knew what had happened to cause all of this chaos, but now i know, it is because that bush is trying to blamed other places. i really feel sorry for all those men and women going to war and dying for no reason. i wish that bush was never re-elected for America, because he was the cause of all this chaos. he is not fit to be the president of America.
i wanna comment on Raymond’s comment. What do you mean pressure ? No one is putting pressure on Bush. But the terrorism and death costing more and more people to worry. If he really did spend his time thinking about how to protect our country. He wouldn’t even get so much pressure in the first place.
bush make soldiers to fight in iraq for a long time and he starts to sut off the combat soldiers’ pay by 33% and assitance to their families by 60% and double the drug costs in iraq. i really don’t like bush personally after watching this movie. his general attorney made a patriot act which is against the first amendent of the bill of right.
I really think Michael moore’s movie was persuasive as it has many facts and reasons for many of the questions we had about bush and moore really showed the lies and the deaths of many that died were really for a meaningless war that started, especially when bush bomed a nation that did nothing, that gave Iraq the anger.

I think the movie was very pursuasive.The reason why I think so is because it had alot of information to back up his opinion.Also some parts of the movie were funny and that atracted my atention.One example of how the movie was persuasive is when president Gorege W. Bush was informed that America was being attacked he didn’t do anything and that is what pursuade me.

I enjoyed watching the film Fahrenheit 9/11. It is quite funny and entertaining compared to other films that related to Bush, political problems, etc. But most of all, I think the Director Michael Moore did really well at proving his point of view. For example, it is obvious that he dislike our U.S. President Geroge H.W. Bush. Because at least 95% of the film tells all the problems with Bush. And it is very persuasive and convincing. Also, I have the same opinion as Michael Moore does – George H.W. Bush did not do well as a president. He shouldn’t even be one anyway. It was supposed to be Al Gore. He cheated with the help from his first cousin, John Ellis, the man who is in-charged of the FOX decision desk. Besides, Bush send American troops to the Iraq war which i think it’s ridiculous. What did Iraq do to U.S.? Nothing. Bush is taking away lives from the people in Iraq and people in our countries. That is not right. That is unacceptable.

I agree with Lexy(a.k.a. Lexsis). This movie shows what the Bush, other politicans and the government are really doing. It definitely shows that they are doing many things behind us that we don’t even know what are they.

what i think about the movie is that i think that when the iraqies are stating the war that was very wrong because when they have a war they are all losing people from their country. this is the most terribleist thing ive ever seen ever because bush should put their kids into war instead of other peoples kids because i think that bush does not know how bad it is to lose their child inside war to be force to fight and then lose their kids how sad is that do bush even care about other peoples kids.>.<

Imperialistic Americans
Imagine what it’s like to be injured with both arms broken-off, severely burned, and knowing that all your siblings and parents are dead. This is exactly what 12-year-old Iraqi boy Ali Ismail Abbas is going through. But he is not the only one who is suffering in Iraq. Some lost their faces with burned skin, some lost their eyes or other body parts, while others have to deal with the pain of losing a loved one. Or in the worse cases, they have died. There are many ways to see that the war in Iraq is an example of American Imperialism. Though some may disagree, the facts prove that it is. President Bush made the U.S. soldiers stay in Iraq for a long period of time to take advantage of the Iraqis and the U.S. has taken advantage of Iraqi resources.
One reason that proves the war in Iraq is American imperialism is that the U.S. soldiers have stayed in Iraq for five years already. President Bush sent U.S. soldiers to Iraq to search for illegal weapons. But in the article from TIME for Kids, it was mentioned that Saddam had already announced that they didn’t have any weapons. This means that the U.S. should have not attacked Iraq. Bush started the war also because he wanted to make sure that Iraq didn’t have any weapons, which means Iraq could lose power from that. This shows the reason U.S. is still staying in Iraq is because they are trying to take over Iraq.
Another example that shows that the United States was being imperialistic in its war with Iraq can be seen in the films Fahrenheit 9/11 and 21 Days to Baghdad, American businesses and soldiers have been protecting AND using Iraqi oil. The oil is in Iraq and the Iraqis own it. The U.S. does not have a right to do anything about it, because it is Iraq’s property, not the U.S.’s. It is clear that the U.S. is taking advantage of the situation in Iraq. These actions show that the U.S. involvement in Iraq is an example of Imperialism.
Some say that the war in Iraq is not an example of American Imperialism. A piece of evidence that they use to prove this is that according to film, 21 Days to Baghdad, President Bush is trying to protect the U.S. from Iraqi weapons, so that’s why he started the war. But according to the article “Confusion over Iraq’s Weapons,” from TIME for Kids, it states that although “Bush and many on his staff said that U.S. fact-finding groups, including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), had evidence of illegal weapons in Iraq, no such weapons have been found.” It is now 2008, and they still have not found one single weapon of mass destruction. The U.S. should have leave the country and stop the attacks. The fact that the U.S. has not left clearly shows that the U.S. is trying to take over the power from this country, therefore the war in Iraq is an example of American Imperialism.
Americans need to know that the war in Iraq is imperialism because the U.S. has stayed in Iraq already for five years to take advantage of Iraq by using its oil. And most of all, the Bush administration is trying to rip-off the Iraqi weapons and kill many innocent people. It is obvious that Bush is trying to take Iraq’s power away. Americans need to mind their own business and leave Iraq alone. Many Americans are blind and don’t really know or care about how imperialistic America is being. People need to know the truth about the Iraq War. It is time for all of us to know the reality and take actions to stop this war and the death of Americans and Iraqis.
