I learned about a lot of immigration during this unit. I learned that immigration is one of the most important issue and I didn’t know that immigration can cuase such a big problem. i learned that many poeple want to come to the U.S becuase it offers freedom, but if a lot of people come to the U.S then it would be over populated. i learned that in order to pss a bill in the congress, there must be a meeting like the one we did in class. It must go through a lot to pass a bill, and sometimes, there would be a big debate in congress. My representative is Roy Blunt and he doesnt like immigration. He wants to make a border around mexico becuase he doesnt want 911 to repeat itself. my opinions differ becuase i think that too much immigration is bad, but i dont think it would this strict. My own opinions for immigration is that i think there should be more border security, but i dont think it needs to be this strict.

I learned that not all republicans and democrats agree with their own party.

I learned that the U.S. Congress is very strict. I also lerned 55% of the illegal immigrants are Mexicans. If i could personally add to the immigration policy, I would make the policy so that a very limited amount of Mexicans can come. As I stated before 55% of the illegal aliens come from Mexico.

Please try to answer all of the questions in your reflection. Also, think about what we learned about immigration before we started the Mock Congress. Think historically, not just politically.

I learned that most democrats are for immigration and most republicans against immigration, and that not all of them have the same opinion as most of the people in their own party do. I learned that immigration can cause a serious problem – over-population. The U.S. Congress is the legislature of the federal government of the United States. It is bicameral, consisting of a Senate and House of Representatives. The House of Representatives has 435 voting members. I learned that the way that the U.S. creates law can fair and unfair. For example, it is fair to have a guest worker program(Is this consider as an immigration law?) and it is unfair to have quotas(limits) for immigration based on different regions in the world. They also create laws that are depending on different situations. My personal opinion is somewhat different from my representative’s opinion. My opinion is a little bit like Democrats and a little bit like Republicans. That is because I think there are people out there in other countries need better lives, but at a same time, the U.S. cannot allow anyone to come because then our country would be over-populated. I personally thinks the U.S. immigration policy should be strict, especially for those are who coming to here illegally. Because they don’t have a right to do so and it is causing about 5 million dollar from the taxes to try to fix this kind of problem. There should be more border security. I think they should set a law that sets a number of people coming to the U.S. every year. For example, there could be only 10,000 people to come to the U.S. and let say there are people from 10 countries want to come to the U.S. Well, then there could only 1,000 people to come from each of these 10 countries.(For those who are disagree with the number was written… Well, i just made an example. I don’t mean it has to be this number(s).)

I learned that immigration is a important law thatg deals with many issue. There’s so many poins of view and what they have to say. I learned that many people find America is the only country they have for hope. They try their best just to come in and sneak in here. There are many topics dealing with this. I learn that U.S congress is made up of a lot of people and many have different views. They have respectful manners and laws are hard for them to pass. I think Congress creates laws fairly. The rule is always majority wins and that’s fair. Everyone has to work together to pass a law. My personal opinon does not differ from Nancy Pelosi. I think there should be a way for people to become a citizen because everyone has a chance to do something and be part of a whole country. If they help America, they should have citizenship. She thinks border secruity is a waste oof me and in my opinon I think so too. We should let them work here in America. My personal opinon is that illegal immigrants should have a chance to be in America. If the population is high, they can wait. When someone gets caught doing something wrong they should be deported if they’re an illegal or a citizen. Now there’s less people so the people who are waiting to come to America can come. If they show respect to America, they will be grant citizenship.

I learn that immigration is a big problem to the United State. Before when did the mock congress I learned that the push and pull factor effects the people in their country. Push factors are bad things why people should come like their government, education. While the pull factors are the things that the U.S offer that are good. My opinion is different from other people I said that we should be a wall around Mexico while other people say we should not. I say we should because some say around 55% are from Mexico and is illegal. One policy i think the law should made is to limit the immigrant coming to the United State.

I learned that immigration is an issue that faces many problems. The immigrants are already overpopulating America but there are illegal immigrants too. This causes America to lose its resources to people that have snuck into the country. I have learned that bills are discussed and passed by the U.S. Congress. The U.S. Congress is made up of the Senate and the House of Represntatives. The majority of the Congress must be for the bill in order to have it passed. They would debate about the bill and each member would have a vote if they are for or against that bill proposal. My representive is Ronald Paul who believes that illegal immigrants cause too much trouble for America and stop be dealt with. I agree with him because they illegal immigrants cause our economy to weaken and take away rights that should go to Americans. Our opinions differ in the solution of the problem. Ronald Paul believes that more border security is needed and illegals must be tracked down. I think that America should try to compromise with other countries instead of trying to build a wall or something. The immigrantion policy of the U.S. should be to create quotas to limit immigrant numbers and to report and deport illegals. This will cause the immigrants to come to America in consistent numbers while the reporting and deporting keeps the number of illegals low.

I learned that immigrants work very hard in order to come to the USA and try to support there family. I learned how the life of immigrantion change and became more strict each year. When it was the 1800’s immigrants could come in for free but now they get arrested or sent back to there home town. The law that congress passes all 435 represenative have to vote and if there is more yes than no then the law get’s passed. My representative was Thaddeus McCotter he said that immigrants should not be able to come. Well in my opinion i think the immigrants should be able to come because i bet all of you classmates or schoolmates out there have grandparents that are trying to come to America and it is very hard. Well why dont just let them come in. That what i think the USA should do let the immigrants come.

I learned that immigration was a big issue to the U.S. The U.S started many laws about immigration. I learned that the U.S congress had many different people in it and those people had different kinds of thoughts about the laws. I also learned that the laws that the U.S creates has to go through a lot before it becomes a law. My personal opinion differs from John Shadegg. I think that there should be Amnesty to give citizens chances to become U.S citizens. I also think that the immigration policy of the U.S should be less strict.

I learned that Immigrants leave their countries to come to the United States to find jobs for them and families so they can find better homes or get homes so they can have better lives to live, to support their families and to meet their goals in life. The US. Congress is made up from 2 different sides: The Senate and the House Of Represenatives. And not all parties which is Democrats and Republicans agree some of them are most likely to be on both sides. The way that United States creates laws in a good way everyone must vote on a bill and if the bill has passed with the most votes it becomes a law. My personal opinion is most likely the same with Carolyn McCarthy because she was a Democrat but she agreed to what Republicans say and to what the Democrats say so she agrees with both parties. I think for the Immigration Policy should not have that many strict rules and to be fair with others.
