New things that i learn help me strengthen my opinion because we have more evidence to prove our point and tell others what is right. Also new information can change your opinion because you learn more like i said and learn new facts. =D

I think that the new laws for immgrantion should be that the immgrants have to pass a history test about the untited states and see how much they know about it if they do then they can get in, everybody and evryrace can go in ecxcept for people who commit crime in thier country.
In my opinion, the policy of U.S. on immigration should be limited so there will be no swarm of immigrants bursting in U.S. border lines without legal access >.>
I think that the laws of the immigration of the US should be that they let people in who have passports and legal information. I think this because many people came to America without legal information which is called illegal immigration. Illegal immigrants come here to find a better life for themselves and their families. But don’t they know that it won’t be a good life if they keep worrying about being caught by the police or something?
I think that the immigration limits should be more freely. They should make it easier so ppl don’t die trying to cross her illegaly. I think they should allow EVERY kind of skin person in because based on the bill of rights all men are created equally so any man/woman can come in
I think that the immigration policy of the state should be limited to the amount of immigration or if the immigrant agrees to pay a tax and take the test for being a citizen and getting a green card or the person who have the money to come and immigrate to America
i think the immigration policy of the united states be that u.s. should allow everyone who is educated, because there are too many immigrants coming to the u.s. and cause the government to lost money. so to stop more illegal immigrants coming, the government can make immigrants take a i.q./educational test, and if they pass, they can come to u.s
i think that immigrantion policy should be to let all the people who want to come in come in. also they should all be able to get the jobs that they want. so this way people wont be unhappy in america. and if many people are happy in america then they might spread the news and then more people might come. this will help america economy.
Answering to Stacy’s question, I think that people won’t get a better life if they come to America illegally because they will be forced to worry everyday about getting caught and what would happen to them when they put their families in danger.
I think that every new immigrant can not come to the new world or the United states because they just cant come to the new world for free. They should pay a fine like 5000 dollars to get into the new world. If you do something like that there wont be any more immigrant coming to the new world and less people will be coming.
I thik the imiagration laws should be there should be apost where lets all imigrants pass but if a illegal imigrant is caught he/she should be sent back to his or her country. But should not be sent to joil or tortured. I think all imigrants should be aloud to have the ameircan dream because the ameriican is have free of rights and pure freedom. Nevermind about what i said this is america this is where immigrants come to achieve wealth and freedom that is the American Dream. There should not be a limit to immigrantion except for the people who don’t follow the rules and laws. If they don’t then they would be brought back to their country by anything means necceasry
I think that the immigration laws somewhat helped the US keep illegal immigrants out because there are still immigrants that come to the US illegally but most of the immigrants that come to the US are legal immigrants.
The laws is really bad beacuse they are all racist so they should stop because all men and women are created euqlly so they should let them in but if thier background is bad they shouldn’t they also have to pax taxes like norman americans and they have to past the test to get in
i think that the policy for immigration should be that immigrants can come in but they must have a good reason to. Too many population would be bad for America, but since everyone wanted to come to America and some can come and some cant that is not fair. Well i dont think that is a good plan becuase there are a lot of poeple who have aq good reason to come to America. i think that once the immigrants comes to America, other poeple shouldnt be prejudgics to the immigrants.
They should make a law for some illegal immigrants who came to America illegally because there were many complaints from the americans.
i disagree with what max about there should not be a limit to immigrants, cuz if more and more immigrants came, it will only hurt the economy of the u.s. cuz the immigrants will take advantage of the public schools and other things that the government pay for
I think that the immigration policy should be that people from other countries should go to those US places that are supposed to represent a US presence. Then, they can file an appeal through the place and get a visa to go to the United States. There, they can go to court and maybe obtain citizenship. Or they just go illegally. However, if you go illegally, you risk the chance of being caught. To prevent illegal aliens from entering the United States through the Mexican-US border, I heard that a politician wanted to put minefields and hook up electricity to the fence. That is really over doing it I guess.
I agree because what’s the point of getting to the US border if your going to get killed for all your hard work into getting there in the first place?
If some people have an american dream why not let all have it this is a free world you can do whatever as long as it obey the law as long as the people who wants to come to the united states then they obey the law they should stay who cares if they are ciztzen or not they could be whenever they want.

I disagree with henry and all the other people who agree with him. I say no immigrant should come to the USA because they should not come to the USA for free. If that happens then more and more people will come and the USA will be over crowded with people. Even if they come each race dont have to same rights the whites always have all the good rights.
I think the immigration policy should be only letting the people who want to go to the United States go and that there should be a limited amount because if they let everyone go, then there’ll be lots of immigrants around and the United States will have a lot of people.
i think that the immigration policy is kind of harsh because some people really want to come here but their chances are thrown out the window because some people came here for no need. i think that it should be slight less harsh because we can possibly gain money from taxes and rents and others. sometimes people wont pay for their rents but maybe then you can know who really wanted to be here.
i learned that chinese immigrants that came to america couldnt get some jobs. this really changed my opinion about immigration because now i know that immigration to america wasnt as good as some people say. as i learn more about immigration i might change this opinion.
I also think that a limited amount of immigrants should be allowed to go to the US because then there might not be an overflow of people in the US and less people will die trying to go to the US.
i think that there are two sides to see the policy for immigration. If immigration is limited,then it wouldnt be fair becuase it is like first come first serve. That is wrong becuase what happens if poeple in America gets too crowded and no one else can enter America. Well on the other side if immigration is free then many poeple will come to America and that will create over population.
i think that one of the policy of immigration to the U.S is that the immigtrants carry no illness that can infect or harm others in the U.S. another policy that i think we should have is that they have REAL LEGAL passports and that they have no criminaal records. i think that with this the immigrants will be healthy to carry on with their new lives in america and that there will be less crimes caused by immigrants.

The immigrants policy in the United States should be…
1. Only citizens of United States can go out and in of countries.
2. The population should stay the same if US population increases then they should kick some non- citizen people out.If population decrease people that are from other country that had been wishing to come should come
3. If the population stayed the same and there is some non- citizen people they should have US passports.
4.There should be 1 police men guarding each 1 km. of the gate between Mexico and US.
5. All guilty smugglers should be sent to jail.
6. People that are suffering from there country should send a letter to the president of the United States and the president should send a airplane to pick him/her up along with their family. (but if one member of the family is evil they shouldn’t come)
I think the immigration law should be that they should try to get all illegal immigrants out of the United States and make them come in illegally because United States is starting to get too crowded and if someone wants to come in they should come in like everyone else. Even though illegal immigrants worry everyday that someone might catch them. I think that they should let people with education come in easier than the people that doesn’t have much education.
I agree with lin qiang. If more people come they would be over crowded and they might start a strike over the government because they dont like the new laws or they disagree with the government.
but in order to get to the US border i think they would do anything in order to get what they want…They probably would sacrifice themselves to get freedom and get out of their our countries badley…

Alot of people have dream let them following them. I agreed with ken because they don’t find jobs because of thier race that not fair becuse they are really racist shouldn’t do that if they can do the work hire them don’t second think because of thier race.
I agree with Connie, because probably the Congress doesn’t want terrorist to get into the US so they set up immigration laws to block out illegal immigrants from coming into the US.

i disaagree with roberts comment that immigrants should can come in america if they pay. i disagree with this because some of the immigrants are running away from their countries, escaping death penalties, poverties, etc. those people need help and i don’t think they should have to pay money to go to a shelter for them. i also don’t think that the U.S is so greedy that they will take money form the poor and the weak.

I disagree with the first one of Wendy’s policy because that’s saying that French, British, Indian, and Chinese citizens can’t go out of their country. That would seriously hurt the world economy because the a forementioned countries are major producers in many of the world products. Business men have to travel around the world and so do politicians and diplomats.

The amount of immigrants coming into America must be controlled or else there will be ovrepopulation. If America gets pverpopulated, then the country will get messed up.

in my opinion i think that every one has the right to come to the united states if they want. but just think about it, if so many people are coming here all at the same time dont you think that then we would be too over crowded? Not only that but think about jobs. IF so many people are here then that would mean that we wont have anymore jobs for anyone else because we would have people taking care of that already. But its noy only the jobs, if we have so many people here that would mean that we would have to make many more houses for them to live in. So if we make all those houses that would mean that we would need to take up free space like parks and woods etc. Thats not only it we would also have a lot of trash to get rid of. so i think that if people really want to come here there should like a type of rule that when people want to come they should make plans of who comes first and when that way everyone would have a chance to see the U.S. without causing all those problems that i mentioned and everyone would be happy =)
I think that the U.s. shoould make a special lottery in mexico so that people could win the chance to become a resident of the U.S. without having to come in illegally. I think this would be a good idea because that way someone could immigrate from mexico and live in the U.s. without the fear of being deported.

I think there should be one gigantic fence on the border because every day, people try to cross the border so this allows the US to not be overpopulated. If you come over by boat or something, when they get to the fence, they’ll check your legal documents or something. And they should build a landing port near the edge of the border so people that come by plane will land outside the border. Then their legal documents and stuff can be checked.

People who came to the U.S. have different faces but they have the same reasons. I agree with michelle that immigrants laws should be limited so that cities would not be overcrowded. Destroying nature resources is unacceptable. Although U.S. is a free country but it is not a free country for migration. If there are too many ppls in U.S. I think that the economic system will be criticize seriously. You don’t want that to happen right? I know for a fact that many immigrants face persecution against their race or religion but don’t you think that it is the issues that the other country should change or leave this to United Nations because it is a serious issue that United Nations should be in charge of this issue!

I agree with JJ because there were some push factor that made immigrants have to move. The immigrants took time to come to the U.S. The immigrants are just coming to the U.S. to live because they lost everything in their old country. I think the immigrants are trying to start a new life in the U.S.

The Americans weren’t happy about the coming of the immigrants legally and illegally because the increase of the immigrants took over their jobs and they barely pay tax when everyone in the U.S. should. In the begining I though that life was going to be easier for the immigrants once they enter the U.S. but now I know I’m wrong because life is still hard for the immigrants even if they made their way to the U.S.
Since they were new to the U.S., they have no idea how things go in the U.S. and they have no place to settle before finding a job and renting a room in the apartment or a place where they can rest…
I think it isn’t fair when the only educated people get to come easier than the none educated ones becuase life wasn’t easy for a lot more other people and everyone wanted a survivor and a chance for a better life.

i think the new immigration law should be “let anyone who wants to come to america let them come too because their people too they not just someone who were just born and be left out i thin everyone should be included in america” and that’s what i think the law should be.
i think it’s not immgrants faults to takes the illegal ways to come to U.S because there’s so many strict laws that keep people from coming to U.S legally,that’s why immgrants has to take illegal ways.

I think a new law for America should be having equal rights toward legal and illegal immigrants because illegal people try just as hard or more harder than the legal ones so they should be respected. They are hard working and therefore should be respect. THey don’t come here for any harm, they come here to find jobs. Many illegal have fears of being caught so maybe there should be a law that would say illegal people who are in America already will not be returned to their own country when their caught unless their violent.
I am commenting what Jin Yao said, it is not fair for the illegal immigrants, because they sneaked into U.S. They did not past the test to get to the U.S. legally. They should not be able to recieve driver’s license.
I agree with Jonathan Pang and Erica Zhang, because more and more illegal immigrants are comimg into the United States everyday, and their numbers are increasing every time thay come! I also think that the Border Patrol should be stricter and have more members to help them out. The Border Patrol should also put some members around Mexico, where immigrants come and go in and out of Mexico. They should tell immigrants they need a warrant or a document, stating that that specific member or family may enter the United States.
i had been wondering for a long time, why don’t other countries just get a better economy like America so people would immigrate to other countries. If they do , America won’t have to worry about too many people.
In my point of view i think immigration is good and bad because if there were no immigrants there wouldnt be us. In my opinion i think immigration is good because they just came to America to look for work and they didnt try to harm us or anything. ;P
In my opinion, I think there should be a limited number of people coming to the US. I know there are people from other countries are suffering and want to come to America. But that doesn’t mean it’s acceptable for all of those people to come. Immigration increases the population very quickly. This is one of the problem immigration causes. Another problem is that a lot of immigrants don’t pay tax(es). This is why I think immigration should be limited.

I think that America’s immigration policy should be that anyone who wants to go to America can go but, they will have to pay a fee. That makes it easier for all of the states to not have too much immigrants because the fee would be quite high. Also the fees will help the U.S government and America will kick out illegal immigrants if they get caught. In addition, if there is discrimination between the different races create laws to enforce no discrimination. When there is too much immigrants, say nearly full in U.S., ban all immigrants from going in to America for several years until there is less population in America or if that doesn’t work do a elimination test for every single immigrant recorded that payed to go to America and the test would be an eduacational test, if they can’t pass they get sent back out of America unless they have strong connections to buisnesses in America.

Response to MArie: Even if they came to the US they got some freedom but not all because each race have different laws from each race. Like the white they got the good laws and the Irish got the bad laws.

I believe that life for the new comers was tough because even though they had made their way to America where they believe they can get their freedom and a survival, it was hard for them to make a living. They didn’t know anyone in this new places and have no one to help them out. They didn’t have a place to live and couldn’t settle. They didn’t have a place to rest and needed to find a job quickly so they can rent for a place to sleep…

What Erica said brought me to think of another point. She said that if immigrants like the life they are having in the U.S., they would want their family to be here too. Who won’t want their family to be with them so then they won’t feel lonely and they can all work to help their family so in the future they can have a better life. But coming to America isn’t easy after all after the striker laws passed to keep the immigrants out of the U.S. On one hand I think striker laws aren’t fair to most of the immigrants because they came illegally. But on the other hand I think it was a hard decision for the government to find a solution to the increase of immigrants in the U.S. I believe that the increase of the immigrants really bring a lot of trouble to the U.S. government because the Americans were complaining and unhappy of the coming of the immigrants. They took their job and didn’t pay tax. If I were to bring a solution to this, I think I will make striker laws too because the increasing of the immigrants were growing and more and more people came to the U.S. one group after another. Too much people in the U.S. are a problem because then the owner/boss of the companies and factories will take advantage of the immigrants and lower the salary. Because the immigrants were willing to work even if they get a little pay, the bosses can fire the workers with high pay or lower their pays and hire the immigrants.
I also believe that the immigration policy of the United States be that both legal and illegal immigrants are welcome to this free state but within a limit amount of time, they should go back to where they came from because by then they had earn enough money to go back home and also when people starting leaving, another group of people can come. I think this is fair because then both legal and illegal immigrants can come. Both skilled and educated people and non-educated students and non-skilled people can come. They should also have the same amount of limit about when leaving the U.S.
Not all of them were wrong. Some got better life and some didnt. well as long as they’re happy that they’re free lol
No matter what, I still think that the immigration policy should really be good and helpful to the immigrants because they are the ones who needed to come to the U.S. for a chance. If the laws are striker, then what is meant to be a chance is then nothing. There won’t be any hope for the immigrants…
Reading some of the comments above, I notice something that really surprise me. Robert said that he agrees with people who thinks that the immigrant should not come to the USA but I totally disagree with that. I think that Robert isn’t getting the point of immigration and the kind of life immigrants before they enter the U.S.
Robert…if people don’t come to America, how can they keep their lives going. You do know that life for most immigrants were hard right?? If you do, then you must know that they must come for a survival, a better life, a better future, and a chance. Most immigrants were push to the U.S. so they didn’t want to leave their hometown and family. But it wasn’t up to them whether to stay or not. They are under pressure and couldn’t make their choice or decision. They believe that America is they place where they can get what they want…freedom, so if they want a better life for their selves and their families so they can have a better future, they should come to the U.S. Because it is the place where they can have a better life and earn money and sent some money back home so their family memebers can have a better life.

Problem: Illegal immigrants are going to America and becoming illegal workers.
Evidence: Many immigrants come to America without identification and that’s unsafe. Immigrants who don’t have documentations are often assumed for crimes that happen in America as the police and the citizens don’t trust the immigrants. Also illegal immigrants will do anything to get in America as their family back home depends on it. In addition, many illegal immigrants only come for money to support their family back home in the harsh times. For example the immigrants come only because their suffering back home by starvation, discrimination, and wars. The immigrants come to help their families as staying in America for even a bit can help them because they feel secured in America and the get money to help themselves as the do jobs.
Solution: Guest worker program –Allow people from other countries to come to U.S. for 6 months- 1year to do menial jobs.
